On Thursday October 22, 2015, our kindergarten students visited the Yıldız Fire Station. One of the firemen at the station spoke about fire and rescue tips, and the different types of fire engines. He also talked about the types of situations fire fighters are called for help and showed the students the gas masks they use, which they all got excited about. Other firemen talked about the three types of light signals they receive and what each one means. They also showed the students their high technology truck that can raise its body and tilt its wheels to be able to pass through narrow streets and passages. Students then had a chance to look around at the different fire engines and had a lot of fun extinguishing a pretend fire with fire extinguishers.
