This past summer, our Grade 12 student, Selin B., was admitted to a selective online research program conducted by Pioneer Academics. Mentored by a professor at Vassar College, Selin wrote an independent research paper on the impact of television on teenagers’ proneness to psychopathy and antisocial personality disorders. Judged on the bases of engagement with scholarship, evidence, analysis, writing and organization, Selin’s paper was rated among the top 6% of all research papers completed in the Pioneer Research Program and recently published in the 2017 Pioneer Research Journal. We are proud of Selin, and wish her the best of luck in her academic studies at Brown University next fall.
