Academic collaboration between Columbia University and Hisar Schools began in 2019. We invited Columbia University Faculty of Education experts to our School in April 2019 to get to know Hisar and our academic staff. After this visit, the reports and suggestions prepared by the education consultants were evaluated by the Principals and Vice Principals, and a 2-year education process was planned for our academic staff.

On February 10, 2020, the trainings started primarily for our teachers of English, Science and Mathematics Department will focus on Assessment and Evaluation, Meta Cognition and Critical Thinking Skills. The program, which will continue throughout the week, includes teacher observations as well as trainings offered by Brian Veprek and Dr. Sherish Holloman, one of Columbia University Education Faculty consultants.

The second module of the two-year training process will take place in April 2020 and other modules will continue in the 2020-2021 Academic Year. The trainings are planned in K-12 integrity and to cover all our academic staff.
