Activities and Trips

In 5th grade, students create a mini United Nations inviting students from the elementary school with their “passports” to visit their “countries” where they are provided with information about the country and participate in cultural activities. In 6th grade we have a professional poet from America speak to the students and perform in-class workshops. In 7th grade, students travel to Amsterdam in conjunction with their unit on Anne Frank. They study the sociology of race relations in Europe, the events of World War 2, and the life of Anne Frank. In 8th grade, under the leadership of the Student Council, our students visit a school for disabled students in conjunction with their unit on Disability Studies.
