As Information Strategies Center, we continue our efforts to ensure that information and communication technologies are included as a natural part of the education process.

Writing Center

In Writing Center, there is a friendly and comfortable environment where visitors are interested in their author identities and talked about writing. Educators aim to help develop ideas and express them in the most clear and effective way possible.

Innovation Center

Innovation Center is designed as an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary platform to teach and learn with STEAM-oriented programs that support interaction with the technology community and the effort to achieve excellence in K-12 education.

University Counseling and Career Center

In our Career Center in accordance with the mission and vision definition of Hisar School, our primary goal is to guide and support our students in course selection, career orientation, university preparation-application and selection processes.

Cultural Center

Our Cultural Center, with its fully equipped professional concert, theater and exhibition halls, creates a cultural bridge between the students, parents, administrative and academic staff of Hisar School, the surrounding schools and the residents.

Professional Learning Center

PLC provides a system of innovative, creative, participatory opportunities and research environments by offering training programs on national and international platforms that will support and develop the knowledge and skills of all School staff.

Our Middle School Student Won an Award at the International Media Literacy Festival

At the International Media Literacy Festival 2024 organised by Athens American Community Schools (ACS), our 8th grade student Derin G. won the first prize in the “Documentary” category in which 50 schools competed.

In his work titled “Artificial Intelligence and Education”, prepared under the mentorship of the Department of Computer Education, our student conducted an interview with his teachers and emphasised the issues of media literacy, artificial intelligence and digital world citizenship. We congratulate our student and wish her continued success.

“Learning Together” Trainings Completed

In line with our goal to further strengthen professional learning communities, we have completed the third “Learning Together” sharing sessions this year. Under the leadership of volunteer Hisar teachers, we came together with teachers from different regions of Turkey, creating a great opportunity to share our knowledge, and experiences and to learn and grow together. We are pleased to have completed 43 training sessions of 40 Hisar teachers with 338 participants so far.

Our Students participated in the “Becoming Mathematically Literate” Seminar

Prof. Dr. Talin Budak met with our High School students to hold a seminar on “Becoming Mathematically Literate”. Budak, who continues her work at Boğaziçi University, shared her thoughts on mathematical thinking skills and their role in education with our students and academic staff. The seminar emphasized the importance of practical applications to strengthen students’ connections with mathematics and enable them to solve everyday problems through a mathematical perspective.

Our Middle School Students Celebrated World Water Day

Our Middle School students celebrated World Water Day with fun and informative activities to draw attention to the importance and sustainable use of water. GSL Sustainable Fashion Design club, Eco-Tim students, Science and Visual Arts teachers organised and presented the activities in which many students and teachers participated with excitement. Our students reminded all their friends that we need to know the value of water for a sustainable future.

Our Preschool Director and Assistant Director presented the High Scope to METU Students

Sibel Yalkın, our Preschool Director, and Ezgi Çebi, our Assistant Preschool Director, presented the “HighScope” approach to the 2nd year undergraduate students of the Middle East Technical University (METU) Department of Preschool Education in their course titled “Alternative Education Models in Early Childhood Education”. They explained the basic philosophy of HighScope learning, active learning, daily routine, curriculum, assessment, adult-child interaction and learning environment to future preschool teachers.

Hisar CS Team is at The National Tournament

Hisar CS Team is at The National Tournament

Hisar CS team, consisting of our Middle School Programming & Robotics club students, took part in the Robotex Marmara Regional Tournament held at Istanbul Technical University Süleyman Demirel Cultural Centre on 15-16 March 2024. Our two teams competing in the Advanced Lego Sumo 1 kg category won first and third place in their categories and qualified to participate in the national tournament to be held in Antalya. We congratulate our students and wish them continued success.
